Recently Ive been very busy putting together a panel of 20 images and preparing a working profile to be judged by 5 Photography Judges. All 5 judges are Fellows of the Masters Photography Association! No pressure! They assessed my images based on Lighting, Technical Competence, Creation Control and Post Production and take into account my working profile which includes risk assessments, Insurance, how I create composite images and a thorough tail combing of my business and studio workings.
The best news is I passed! Im now Lisa Cattersgill LMPA!!
My Licentiate is in Newborn Photography and I am now a Master Photographer!!
Not only did I achieve this prestigious qualification I also achieved my Newborn Safety Certification, this is a brand new certification only recently rolled out! For this I was assessed on how I pose newborn baby's during their photoshoots but also all the background safety elements it takes to run a newborn studio. Lots of work goes in at the studio to ensure your baby is safe, the studio is clean and the props and blankets safe to your baby. This certification is something I encourage any new parent to look for when choosing their newborns baby's photographer.
It was quite a challenging process but I'm so proud to say I'm one of a very few officially qualified newborn photographers in the country! Now thats not something you get to say everyday!
